In 2022, Free Ukraine launched an initiative to supply new Toyota ambulances to support civilian medical evacuation in Ukraine, which is part of the MineFree Ukraine. More information about the project can be found at: https://www.minefree.info/100

“We strive to continuously support Ukraine and urge the world to unite against Russian aggression. The safety of civilians is our shared responsibility. We call on all organizations and countries to join our initiative so that Ukraine can receive more such ambulances. The heroic efforts of medical workers in Ukraine need our collective support,” said Ganna Lysenko, president of the Free Ukraine Association.

“These high-mobility ambulances will be transferred to the emergency medical units of the civil protection services to rescue civilians affected by armed aggression, transport them promptly to stabilization points, and provide emergency assistance in critical cases. Additionally, these off-road vehicles, equipped with all necessary medical supplies, will provide assistance to the personnel of medical support and emergency rescue operations,” said Dmytro Rossovsky, Chief Project Management and International Cooperation Specialist of State Institution “Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”.

The Toyota Land Cruiser J78 off-roaders are equipped with a full set of medical equipment designed for use in remote areas with damaged roads, inaccessible to regular ambulances. The Ministry of Health medical services are the first to arrive at emergency sites and provide urgent assistance. Free Ukraine began delivering these unique ambulances for humanitarian purposes in Ukraine in 2022.
