The National System of Disaster Medicine in Ukraine will receive 100 unique off-road vehicles.

As part of its humanitarian initiative to develop the national disaster medicine system, Free Ukraine has delivered 30 out of 100 new evacuation vehicles based on Toyota Land Cruiser J78 off-road vehicles to Ukraine. These vehicles were purchased thanks to Free Ukraine and international partners with the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

In total, by the end of the year, as part of the humanitarian initiative to develop the national disaster medicine system, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine will receive 100 new evacuation and rapid response vehicles.

The project was funded by Free Ukraine in partnership with international organizations, including the World Health Organization, the Ukrainian Embassy in Great Britain, AstraZeneca, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), British-Ukrainian Aid, Aide Médicale et Caritative France-Ukraine, Yellowblue Force Foundation, and Canada-Ukraine Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The project also received priority attention and support from the Embassy of Ukraine in Switzerland as part of the growing humanitarian cooperation between the governments of Ukraine and Switzerland.

"These delivered off-road evacuation vehicles will operate in the most challenging conditions, including along the front lines of conflict, and have the potential to save thousands of lives of Ukrainian citizens," said Hanna Lysenko, President of the Swiss charitable association Free Ukraine, during the handover ceremony of the humanitarian off-road vehicles.
